2009 yearlings
The 2009 yearling crop at Ashleigh Stud includes individuals by top stallions including LEMON DROP KID, ELUSIVE QUALITY, ANABAA, DIXIE UNION, MIZZEN MAST, BIRDSTONE and SILVER TRAIN.
The yearling pictured below is a filly by top young stallion MIZZEN MAST. Over the years, Jackie has had tremendous success breeding to GREY SOVEREIGN and his descendants including Mizzen Mast. She bred YOUM JAMIL, a 2-year-old son of Mizzen Mast, who brought a sale-topping figure of 140,000 gns at Tattersalls December Yearling Sale in 2008. He is currently in training with Brian Meehan in England, and is reported to be doing very well. This filly looks certain to continue Jackie's tradition of success breeding to this top young stallion.
